Thinking of where to enjoy delicious Italian feast in Penang? Look no more as Sigi's Bar & Grill at Golden Sands Resort Penang has recently launched its new Italian a la carte menu festuring its very own style of casual Italian dining experience by the beach. That's certainly one of its kind here in Penang. The new menu brings one on a gastronomic adventure with mouth-watering items from starters to desserts, not forgetting the wide selection of drinks for you to enjoy with your meal.
Just looking at the vibrant colours makes it so appealing.
Here are some of the delicious items that we had the chance to enjoy.
Traditional Bruschetta RM 20
Bite into the delicious slices of warm, toasted baguette topped with freshly chopped tomatoes, basil and a bit of garlic.
Antipasti for two - RM 68
Fancy some antipasti for two? Savour into the beautiful platter of mozzarella , flavourful bresaola and chorizo, accompanied with grilled marinated eggplant, alongside a traditional assortment of marinated baby asparagus, olives and artichoke hearts, with chargrilled baguette slices.
If you love your greens, you can go for the Insalata - RM26 or Caesar Salad - RM28 and you can even customised with smoked salmon, grilled prawns grilled chicken and many more. Not forgetting their hearty signature soups such as Tomay-to, Tomah-to - RM22, Sigi's Minestrone - RM 26 and Wild,Wild Mushroom - RM28.
One of the highlight of the new menu is the Grigilia (grill). You get a multitude of scrumptious grill options of Surf and Turf such as tiger king prawns (RM88), Norwegian salmon (180g - RM80), red snapper (180g - RM60) , beef t-bone steak (RM100), beef ribeye (250g - RM95), beef striploin (RM250g - 88), lamb rack (RM98) and so much more. Enjoyed with sides and sauce of your choice.
The Petto di Pollo alla Milanese (RM53) from the Classic Selections consist of beautifully pan fried breaded escalope of chicken breast, served with crisp fries and fresh garden salad. The delicious bite of crunch on the outer while juicy tender on the inside.
Think about Italian cuisine and these 2 things comes to mind, pizza and pasta. Of course it wouldn't be really complete without it.
One of the must try has got to be The Godfather - RM40. The pizzas here are crispy thin crusted with generous amount of beef pepperoni, chicken sausage, grilled chicken strips, and ground beef. Topped with sweet onions, olives and mozzarella. So good!
Some of the other pizza to try are such as Marghetita Baby -RM30, Hawaiian -RM38, Lady Valtellina -RM40 and Salmon Affumicato -RM40.
Nothing like a good serving of pasta.
Each bite into the Spinach Ricotta Ravioli (RM32) welcomes you to a fluffy pocket of goodness covered in rich thick majoram-infused tomato base with cheese. If you love your pasta with smoked duck breast, then the Anatra Affumicato (RM40) is your thing. Indulge into the al dante linguine in pesto base.
While the Seafood Aglio E Olio (RM40) comes with a trio of prawns, mussels and squid. Enhanced with a dash of spice and extra virgin olive oil.
You must not leave without trying the Not Your Regular Tiramisu (RM26). This was the real deal.
Sigi's Bar & Grill offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy with your meal or even just to sit back and enjoy the relaxing ambiance by the beach. Some of the Italian drinks to try will be the Aperol Spritz (RM35), Limoncelle Margarita, Bellini and many more. Also a nice pairing would be the Zomin Prosecco DOC, which is an Italian sparkling wine paired with Grilled Salmon from the Griglia section.
So make a date over and be pampered with all the wonderful Italian flavours at Sigi's Bar & Grill.
