A Winter Wonderland at The Wembley This Christmas

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here again! Christmas is just days away and The Wembley Penang is all ready to welcome you to a feast with a theme of Winter Wonderland at Wembley Cafe. From festive goodies to pamper your palate this Christmas right til New Year's celebration.

Everything prepared is sinfully delicious that makes one wanting for more.

So let's see some of the highlights of the mouth-watering goodies that awaits you.

Starting off with some appetizers to kick start the meal with. From premix salads to cold cuts, sashimi, sushi, garden salad and many more.

Salmon anyone? :)

The place where seafood lovers would certainly love. The Seafood on Ice section has a wide variety of seafood that is so fresh and it's hard to resist. Oysters, snow crabs, mussels and many more.

As for the soup, there were 2 soups which was made available on the buffet line. I particularly loved the lobster bisque. The stock was rich in flavour. So nice that one serving isn't going to satisfy your craving.

Now time to savour the delicious main dishes.

Salmon with Avocado Pesto and Grilled Pineapple

The twist of using avocado in the pesto certainly brings a nice flavour to the salmon.

Chicken Gelatine with Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Rosemary Lamb Leg with Garlic with Rosemary Sauce

Pan Roasted Nile Perch with Almond Butter

Stir Fried Prawn with Milan Sauce

While each main dish is cooked with different ingredients while offering different various taste, each has its own uniqueness in taste and simply beautiful.

Spaghetti with Turkey Slice and Bell Pepper

Simple dish, yet love the al dante-ness of the pasta and the taste of it.

Nothing like a nice tender skewers of satay covered in a rich thick peanuty sauce.

Money Bag

Chef slicing up the first slice of turkey. The moist tender roasted turkey is served with chestnut stuffing, giblet and cranberry sauce.

Now this is something that you don't always come by in hotel buffets. Now you can enjoy seafood stir-fried in the sauce of your choice and then eat it with your fingers directly or with the gloves provided. The Thai sauce was superb. Nicely flavoured with a mild kick of spiciness. Totally love this.

Now it's the best part of the buffet, for me :)

Dessert were just so attractive. They could be spotted from a distant away, calling out Eat Me! Eat Me! :p

You will find quite a range of sweet treats to indulge away. Items such as red velvet cake, stollen, fruit cake, Christmas cookies, and many more awaits you.
