Exciting news for chocolate enthusiasts in Penang! Dre Coklat, the renowned premium handmade chocolate brand from Sarawak, has officially opened its doors in George Town, Penang, with a grand opening on 30 November 2024. Now, locals and visitors can indulge in Dre Coklat’s luxurious and decadent chocolate creations.

Nestled in Weld Quay area in George Town just beside Royale Chulan Penang, Dre Coklat’s new store offers a delightful range of sweet treats that will satisfy any chocolate craving. Their menu features a variety of exquisite chocolate options, with signature items like the Coklat Salji in flavours such as Classic Chocolate, Blueberry, Mint, Coffee, Spring Salt, and even a daring Chili flavour for the adventurous. Other must-try items include the Break Break Bars, Truffles, and for a truly unique experience, the Borneo Rice Wine (Tuak). And for something a little different, don't miss the Dre Signature Bamboo Cake—a one-of-a-kind dessert made with a combination of cake and glutinous rice served in a bamboo tube. Alongside these highlights, the menu also boasts a selection of pastries, snacks, and beverages. Everything to pamper your palate with.

The grand opening was made even more special with the presence of Malaysian supermodel Amber Chia, who added a touch of elegance to the event.

The Rice Wine

Inside, the decor reflects Sarawak’s culture, with a mezzanine floor available for private functions or special events, making Dre Coklat a perfect venue for celebrations. Invited guests were treated to a live demo by Chef Andies of Say Cakes, followed by a tempting array of chocolates, bites, and of course, the beloved Borneo Rice Wine.
