Chinese New Year Dining at Olive Tree Hotel Penang

Welcome the Lunar New Year with specially crafted Chinese New Year Eight Course Set Menu (RM1088+) . Tantalize you taste buds to dishes like Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Sea Coconut and Dry Scallop, Steamed Sea Garoupa with Olive Pickles and Minced Meat, Braised Golden Bag with Assorted Fresh Mushroom and Garden Greens and many more.

For those who prefer a touch of tradition, you can opt for the Steamboat Set Menu (RM650+) for 10 persons. It comes with 2 types of the hotel's special - blended tomato soup and fish bone soup. The steamboat comes with varieties of seafood, meat slices, vegetables, mushrooms, noodles and more.  Not forgetting sweet treats like Chilled Sesame Peanut Roll, Ice Cream and fruits. 

Apart from these, if you prefer buffets then you may opt for the Festive Buffet Dinner (17, 18, 26 and 31 January 2020) at Sukkah Coffee House which will start from mid-January 2020 and also Reunion Steamboat Buffet Dinner which will be held on the eve of Chinese New Year at the hotel’s function room -The Olive.  Enjoy symbolic dishes like Yee Sang, Braised Black Mushroom, Dry Oyster and “Fatt Choy” and Broccoli, Oriental Crispy Duck Wrap, Steam Seabass with Lime Sauce, Herbal Chicken Drumstick Soup with Egg Noodle, Fresh Milk with Papaya and Peach Jelly, Assorted Nian Gao and many more.

 Reunion Steamboat Buffet Dinner (24 January 2020) for a minimum of 4 persons. The steamboat offers two special blended tomato soup and fish bone soup base. Enjoy a variety of seafood such as Prawns, Fish, Flower Crab, Scallop and also meat items like Lamb, Beef and Chicken slices.  Other selections include an assortment of vegetables like Black Fungus, Lettuce Romaine, Chinese Cabbage, Baby Siew Pak Choy, varieties of Mushrooms and Noodles.  

Other than the steamboat items, appetisers, main course dishes and desserts will also be part of the buffet spread. The Joyous Chinese Orchestra Performance will entertain the guests starting from 7:30pm onwards.
