July Weekend Buffet Dinner at Zest Bar Cafe, Glow by Zinc Penang

Zest Bar Cafe is offering a brand new promotion for the month of July. Called the "July Weekend Buffet" ,the handcrafted spread is ideal for any kind of gatherings over food over the weekends.

Let's get to the food, shall we? I know you can't wait^^ 

This is the gado-gado. Ingredients such as shredded bangkuang, cucumbers, blanched long beans, cabbages, taugua, tempeh (made from soy) and hard boiled eggs. Mix them with the peanut sauce and you have one interesting salad. What I love about this is the sauce. The peanut sauce has tons of chunky peanuts. yummy. 

Dates or locally known as buah kurma is also made available in the buffet line for you to enjoy.

Kerabu Ayam (F), Kerabu Manga Muda (B)

Kerabu ayam, something that is not common, but this tasted good.

If you love your greens, you will find fresh and crispy lolo rossa, romaine, butter lettuce , local lettuce, Jullienne Carrot and orion ring. There's a few dressings for you to choose from such as Thousand Island, Vinaigrette, French and Italian.

If you fancy local ulam, then you are in luck because there is an assorted ulam-ulam with local dips such as sambal belacan, cencalok and budu.

Acar

Ikan Masin

The variants of keropok and papadum.

Looks so tempting right..you should taste it! The Briyani Rice with Raisins is delicious. The flavours in the rice is rich. Makes the rice so good on its own. 

Dalca Sayur

This is 1 dish which is rich in vegetables. 

Kambing Sos Rosemary

Lamb with aromatic rosemary sauce. 

Udang Masak Lemak Cili Padi

The name sounded like it was gonna be a very fiery dish but lucky it did not cause flames in my mouth ^^

Love how the prawns were cooked in such "lemak-ness" with a tinge of spiciness.   

Grilled Dory Fish

Rendang Daging

Usually when I eat of such dish, the only worry is having the meat with parts that are so hard to chew on. But this Rendang Daging, so tender and the combination with the spices. Marvelous. 

Sotong Goreng Kunyit

Ayam Masak Merah

Nothing like having the nasi with such flavorful dish. Best combination as both bring such perfect taste.

Chicken tomyam

Tons of choices, what to start with ? 

Feast to the local traditional dishes that will satisfy your taste buds. 

So you have the local salads, assorted fresh and compound salad with a choice of different dressings for you to choose from, soup, main dishes now its dessert time.
