If you have watched the movie "The Fault in Our Stars", you might have heard this addictive song (I was addicted to it til the repeat mode was turned ON haha)  called "Boom Clap". Just incase if you did not know, that song was by Charli XCX.

Born Charlotte Emma Aitchison or goes by her stage name Charli XCX hails from Cambridge, England with a mix parentage where her mother is an Indian and her dad is a Scottish. Her talents, writing and producing started off as early as of the age of 14 years old.

Taken from a recent interview about how her music was being discovered:

" Like many teens of the digital generation, I posted my songs online and was spotted by a music promoter. He was like: “Hey, I like your music, I run parties and this Sunday do you want to come and play at one?” I told my parents, they freaked out. They were like, “This is not good; you want to go to an illegal warehouse rave and hackney wick, this doesn’t sound appropriate.” And I was like, “Well just come!” and they were like, “Okay! Cool!” And yeah, that’s how it started."

Moving forward, at the age of 22 years old now, she has gained international success through the songs that she wrote and was also featured in it, such as "I Love It" by  Icona Pop and "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea. Back in May 2014, "Fancy" peaked at the number 1 spot on the USBillboard Hot 100.

At the very same time, her song "Boom Clap" was featured as one of the soundtracks for "The Fault in Our Stars". "Boom Clap" is the first single taken  from the upcoming album "Sucker" which is due to be release on January 26, 2015.

Following to her success, she was also nominated for "Best New Artist" & " Best Push" at this year's EMAs.

It has be confirmed that she will be the main support to Katy Perry on her 2015 "The Prismatic" European Tour. Now how cool is that!

Her new single, "Break The Rules" is now out! I guess we will have to wait until January 26 until we get all the best for Charli XCX. I know one thing for sure, I can't hardly wait :)

Til then...Boom Clap the sound of my heart , the beat goes on and on and on and on and...
