On the eve and first day of Chinese New Year, Hard
Rock Hotel Penang will be serving a prosperous buffet dinner at the Starz Diner.
The Chinese New Year Buffet Dinner at Starz Diner features a widespread of cold selection, soup, Yee Sang station, chinese mains, Chinese BBQ carving station, steamboat station and sweets.

One of the dish that many look forward to will be the Yee Sang and definitely the tossing of the Yee Sang. The Starz Diner will house a Yee Sang Station serving Sliced Fresh Salmon, Chinese Five Spiced Powder, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Red Pickled Ginger, Carrots, Ground Cinnamon, Roasted Peanuts, White Radish, Crackers and other selected ingredients.

For the even of Chinese New Year, Chef Heng, Hard Rock Hotel Penang’s Chinese Chef will be serving a Ginseng Chicken Soup and Crab Meat Seafood Soup on the first day of Chinese New Year.
Unlike the norm, the Crab Meat Seafood Soup is packed with ingredients. By just looking at it you will able to tell how much ingredients it has.

Some of Chef Heng’s specials from the mains are, the fried vegetable with “Loh Hon Chai” and “Seow Pak Choy” with oyster sauce, steamed fried rice in lotus leaves with yam and dried shrimps and steamed fish “Teow Chew” style.
