Christopher Nissen born January 31, 1992 in Copenhagen has taken Denmark by storm. At a young age of only 23, the popular pop-sensation is more than just a singer, he is also the songwriter for each album he releases. He already has 2 albums under his belt, “Colours” (2012) and “Told You So” (2014). Some major accomplishments such as Innovator of the Year, Danish Music Awards 2012, Best Album, the Audience Award and Best Club Track, Danish Music Awards 2014 and Best Danish Act, MTV EMA 2014.
It was back in 2014, when all of a sudden it seemed as if the young singer and his lively pop songs were the hot topic of conversation among all Danes. Christopher sings with a soulful voice and performs with an edge and an R&B feel.
Teenagers as well as adults will be singing along to “Told You So”, “Crazy” and other hits by Christopher whenever he goes on stage; be it clubs, venues or even at summer festivals.
Performing live shows has given Christopher the opportunity to grow and evolve as an artist, sharpening him.
“I have played roughly 300 jobs the last couple of years. You really grow from practicing that way,” he says.
The many live shows have strengthened the relationship between Christopher and his fans. He has 350.000 followers on Instagram and a quarter of a million fans following his Facebook updates. He describes it as an honor to be a role model for so many people.
“They are tagging along in my life. When I read their letters and comments, I feel like I know who they are.”
Christopher grew up in Amager, near Copenhagen. He has always been singing to himself, and as soon as he laid hands on a guitar, he knew what direction his life would take him.
In was back in 2011 where he introduced himself on YouTube with an acoustic cover version of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend”, closely followed by the debut album “Colours” and the hit song “Nothing in Common”.
The 2014 “Told You So” album was a turning point for him, from a promising artist to red-hot pop star! Songs like “Told You So”, “Crazy” and “Mama” were among the most popular songs of the year, and when “CPH girls” was released in October, the song blew all charts and became one of the most popular hits that year. The album topped the Danish streaming charts in Spotify for more than 50 days after the release, and made Christopher the most streamed Danish artist of 2014.
Christopher did not just top the Danish charts in 2014. By the end of 2014, “Told You So” was released in China where it met immediate interest. Christopher packed his suitcase to head out to China on promotion-tour; even before his arrival, “CPH girls” was number two on the QQ Music chart for western music.
The Danish Music Awards cemented Christopher’s breakthrough when he received the awards for Best Pop Album of the Year, the Audience Award and Best Club Name of the Year (Brandon Beal “Twerk It Like Miley”).
His upcoming project will be his third album, where he continues his pop style, but also shows his explosive progress as a singer-songwriter. Once again he is collaborating with the producers Frederik and Fridolin Nordsø (Brandy, The William Blakes, Outlandish); he has produced several songs in Los Angeles with Clarence Coffee Jr. (Maroon 5, Rihanna, Chris Brown, One Direction) and in Stockholm with Robert Habolin (Zara Larsson).
Brandon Beal, who Christopher previously worked with on the hit singles “CPH girls” and “Twerk It Like Miley”, is also part of the team.

The first sample of the positive progression is the bouncy 2015 single “Tulips”.
