Seafood On The Rocks at Starz Diner, Hard Rock Hotel Penang.


Hard Rock Hotel Penang turns Starz Diner into a paradise of scrumptious seafood for you as they introduce their upcoming Seafood On The Rocks buffet dinner. A brand new buffet theme which will be made available on every Saturday starting from the 2 of April 2016. 


The spread consist of a twist of Japanese and Chinese fusion cuisine. Food items ranging from chilled, grilled, teppanyaki, sushi and sashimi, dim sum and many other choices awaits you at Starz Diner.

So let's have a look at the delicious food items.

Starting off with the appetizers, Smoked Salmon Salad with Avocado.



Love sushi? Then you will be happy to find quite a variety of it at the Sushi and Sashimi counter. An array of tempting Sushi, Maki and Sashimi- Tamago, Futo Maki, Kappa Maki, Oshinko Maki, Inari, Kanpyo, Maguro, Sake, Tako and other local fishes welcomes you.

It's nice to see something different for a change unlike the usual normal sushi that you get. Just looking at all of it, makes you want to take everything and enjoy.






Now this is one part that I think where many people would be eyeing for, the fresh seafood section. Indulge away in the freshness of Boiled Prawns, Mussels, Bamboo Clams, Scallops and even Oysters. Accompany it with your choice of either tabasco, lemon, cocktail dressing and shallot vinaigrette. 



Wait! This is the only the beginning and there is more. Prawn & Shellfish Bisque offers a rather thick and powerful taste. The richness of the soup is good on its own or you may have it with the assorted breads available.



Now for something more heavy, there is the main dishes section which offers items such as Yin Yang Fried Rice, Deep Fried Prawn with Nestum as well as Chawan Mushi Unagi.


I personally couldn't get enough of this deep fried prawn coated with nestum. Juicy succulent prawn and the nice crunch and aroma from the nestum flakes, oh yummy!



Off to the Teppanyaki Station, there is the Teppanyaki with Condiments, Yaki Udon, Prawns, Slipper Lobster, Chicken as well as  Beef with Goma Sauce.

The items from the teppanyaki station just made you wanting more of it. Though Slipper Lobster in the Teppanyaki Station is something you don't commonly get.









As for the Chinese Carving Station, feast away the delicious Roasted Chicken, Lamb Char Siew and Chicken Char Siew.


Tender juicy chicken pieces and the chicken and lamb char siew are something rather unique. 


And to end the meal with some irresistible and tempting desserts such as Soya Bean Milk with Glutinous Ball and Gingko Nut, Green Tea Cheese Cake, Assorted French Pastries and Red Bean Jelly.

I so love the Soya Bean Milk with Glutinous Ball and Gingko Nut. Every bite you take, makes you wanting even more of it. 





Oh this below, I LOVED it so much. Definitely if you are a chocoholic, you will surely love this. Such nice rich chocolate. A perfect dessert item to me. Could I have more of this please :)
