Selera Warung at The Eatery, Four Points By Sheraton


Another fortunate round for me, as I was invited to my first ever review at Four Points by Sheraton. For a very limited time, Four Points by Sheraton presents Selera Warung which is currently held at The Eatery. 

Selera Warung is pretty much inspired by the variety of food stalls in the bazaar which offers various choice of delicacies. Not only many but taste good too. 



The Eatery sets in a nice simple and cozy ambiance making dining with much comfort.


Starting off with the Pembuka Selera, where you will find items such as the local famous Pasembur Pulau Mutiara with Spiced Sweet Potato Dips , Ayam Daun Pandan, Masala Ubi Bengala Samosa  
Loh Bak Ayam.



You will find quite a variation of local salad or known as kerabu. Each made from different ingredients and here are the types of kerabu that I spotted such as Kerabu Daging dan Tang Hoon Ala Thai, Kerabu Sotong Limau Bali, Pucuk Paku dan Udang Kapas Kupang Degang Kerisik, Kacang Botol Dengan Dada Ayam Carik, Kerabu Manga Muda dan Udang Kering, Kerabu Taugeh dengan Kerang  .






Next is where you will find the Ulam-Ulaman corner with fresh ulams together with other ingredients to go with it like the Acar buah, Sambal Belacan, Ayer Assam, Sambal Belacan  
Kicap Bercili, Kuah Kacang, Chutney Manga, Acar rampai  
Telur Masin and Ikan Masin. 


While you are there, don't forget to grab some of the Keropok.


Apart from the local salad, there is also the Western Salad such Squid & Orange with Shave Fennel Salad Tuna & Potato with Green Bean Salad ,Greek Salad with Spanish Feta and Olive Mixed Garden Salad 


As for the soup, it was Sup Ekor Berempah that was made available with Roti Benggali and French Loaf. The soup was nicely flavoured with spices which also gave a nice fragrant too.


On the outside area, there is a section of food where items such as Kaki Kambing Bakar Rempah Ratus, Ayam Tandoori, Nasi Briyani, Bombay Onion Pickled, Cucumber Raita  and Dhal Tadka.





 Kaki Kambing Bakar Rempah Ratus was juicy and tender and has a very nice spice flavour in every bite.



To the Diari Masak Ibunda section, you will find an array of sumptuous dishes such as Daging Batang Pinang Goreng Halia Muda, Kupang Goreng Cabai Kering, Sambal Tumis Udang, Ayam Masak Merah, Ikan Bawal Hitam Goreng Bercili, Rendang Daging Pahalawan “Temasik” Kebab Ayam, Kupang Masak Cabai Kering.  









One of the highlights of the buffet is the Salmon Laksa. The soup is made from Salmon, which does give our local laksa a twist and it does taste nice too. 





There is also another local favourite item found here too, that is the Char Koay Teow which is fried upon order.


I must say when I saw how they served the drinks, I was quite excited when I saw it. Unlike many that I have seen, the drinks were displayed in glass bottles. This was pretty cool. There was Soya Bean. Cincau, Sirap Bandung, Orange and Mango. 



Now to end the meal with some irresistible sweet treats. There is a mixture of local as well as western desserts too. Everything looks so Assorted Malay Kuih, Lempok Pandan, Creme Caramel, Pudding Jagung, Pudding Manga, Sago Gula Melaka, Pandan Custard Cake, Chocolate & Walnut Brownies and Apple Crumble Tart. 

















You get not 1, not 2 but 3 types of sweet soup dessert too. There was the Bubur Cha Cha, Pengat Pisang and Pengat Labu.





Wait, there is more haha.. There is also icy cool treats too. Cool down with nice cool Ais Kacang, Chendol or even creamy ice cream and ice cream potong.


For a price that goes really easy on the wallet, I must say the variation of food and flavours offered, it is a promotion not to be missed. Do take note that it is only valid till 26 June 2016,
