Anchor Say Cheese 2016 : Indulgent Sweet Treats at Local Bakeries

Fonterra Foodservices Malaysia is back with its second phase of its successful Anchor Say Cheese campaign. The campaign focuses on an exclusive assortment of Anchor-branded desserts, a first of its kind in the market. This time around, Fonterra Foodservices Malaysia has teamed with a quite a number of established bakeries throughout Malaysia to bring their limited-edition delightful creations to customers. This wonderful creations were created by Fonterra's very own in-house patisserie chefs using top quality real butter, cream cheese, milk and cream from its highly popular Anchor range.

I was very fortunate as this time I was given the chance to travel down south to The Baker's Hut, located in Perak. The Baker's Hut in Perak was chosen as the bakery partner and this is also the first time they are partnering together for campaign.

Who would have expected that about slightly over a month ago, I was in Sitiawan and we were looking at this new area and spotted this bakery. And here I was, at the very same bakery which I saw back then but now having a review in it. haha :) 

Anchor is no stranger when it comes to daily consumption  and especially to bakeries. They have a full range of dairy products such as Anchor Butter, Anchor Cream Cheese, Anchor Culinary Cream and Anchor Milk.

Speaking back at the launch of Anchor Say Cheese campaign at The Baker's Hut, Ms. Linda Tan, Head of Fonterra Foorservices said "It is our 40th anniversary in Malaysia, a great milestone for us and through the years, we have built strong brands such as Anchor, Anmum, Anlene and Fernleaf. Anchor. a leading brand by Fonterra, is made from the freshest dairy produce from New Zealand and in Malaysia, it is available via the Foodservices and retail channel.  The reasons behind the campaign was to delight customers with Anchor finest products."

"As customers are becoming more discerning, they are looking for more exclusive products to indulge in. This is our way of bringing our Anchor brand directly to the consumers in the most experiential way. Our bakery partners are highly supportive and have been long-term users of our Anchor products, and this will also showcase their commitment to bringing on the the best to their customers" she added.

There are 4 brand new items that are being introduced, 2 desserts and 2 sweet breads. The desserts are Almond Rosa and Cheeznie, while the sweet breads are First Love and Lady Marmalade. 

Cheeznie (RM 3.20) - a layer of rich cream cheese spread between 2 slices of decadent chocolate brownies with chopped walnut. I personally liked this one in particular, though one of the factor was I love chocolate haha, but apart from that, it had a nice moist walnut-ty bite and with the richness taste of the cream cheese, it was simply yummmmmmmy. 

Almond Rosa (RM 3.20) - A nutty almond butter sponge cake with a rich layer of cream cheese. The sponge was soft and moist of it's own, had a nice buttery almond taste that went well with the cream cheese.  

Lady Marmalade (RM 6.50) - a sweet bread with an orange cream cheese filing topped with orange candied peel. Every bite offers a nice fragrant and rich creamy dose of goodness. Don't bite small bites but instead take bigger bites, then you will be able to indulge on overall. 

First Love (RM 6.50) - a sweet bread with brown sugar cream cheese in the center sprinkled with brown sugar for that added crunch. Bite away into the nice aroma and taste of the cream cheese with brown sugar. I was told this is the peoples' favourite.  

Of course while you are back here at The Baker's Hut, you can always enjoy the irresistible delectable creations by Fonterra with your favourite beverage.

This was the bomb. If you are here, you must try this. The richness and creaminess of the Anchor cream makes this dish something you cannot say no to. I wished I could eat more of this in future.

I'll be back for this and my craving - the lasagna.
