The Eatery - Four Points by Sheraton Penang

My this year's Merdeka celebration was filled with the harmonious flavours at The Eatery, Four Points by Sheraton Penang. The menu underwent some works and now, there is an even wider selection of food to please your palates. From Oriental to European style of cooking, the array of cuisine made available will probably give you a tough time, because choosing among the many is not going to be easy. Well that's a good thing haha..

Located just across the reception area of the hotel, The Eatery sets in a bright vibrant and colorful ambiance with a nice view of the swimming pool and the sea.

Are you ready? Ready to start drooling? haha let's go :)

Smoked Salmon Paillard RM 38.00
Capers berries, roasted plum tomatoes, rocket salad, shaved parmesan and balsamic dressing.

Generous serving of smoked salmon, topped with rocket salad, shaved parmesan and drizzled with balsamic dressing. A bite into a mix of the ingredients gives you such a nice appetite opening.

Roasted Pumpkin Soup RM 18.00
Spinach Ravioli and Garlic Bread
I'm never much a big fan of pumpkin soup, but boy, this soup was the bomb. The rich flavour of the soup on overall just makes you wanting more of it.

Wild Mushroom Soup RM 18.00
Homemade Creamy Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread
Each scoop of the  mushroom soup, offered a nice blend of mushrooms in it.

Here is what we had on that day.

Sloppy Joe Burger RM 45.00
Fresh minced Australian beef patty dipped in black pepper sauce, beef slice, cheese and onion marmalde. Topped with fried egg, served with Brioche bun and french fries.

One of the main thing to look for in a burger is the patty. One wrong patty and the whole burger is gone but the burger back here was really delicious. I loved the tender juicy patty that just make the burger a wholesome one.

Carbonara RM 30.00
Creamy cheese sauce, crispy beef slice and parmesan cheese.

So little ingredients, it's either you make it or you don't but I'm truly delighted that the carbonara back here, even though it was kind of cold ( yea we took photos until it became cold hahaha) but the taste was still as good as it was still warm. This is a must try!

Gambroni RM 45.00
Tiger prawn, spicy plum tomato sauce, garlic, fresh Italian basil and arugula leaf.

The tiger prawns itself is already calling you out. The tomato sauce base with the spaghetti was nice.

As for the main, you may opt for items from fish to beef.

Lamb Shank "Provancale" RM 65.00
Mash potato, mushroom ragout, roasted baby carrots and double braised thyme jus.

The lamb shank was nicely seasoned, and tender. The braised thyme jus has such nice aroma and taste. Together with the lamb shank meat, oh heavenly!

If you just want to sit back and enjoy the exciting flavours of oriental food, there's a few choices for you to pick from.

Hainan Classic Chicken Chop RM 35.00
Deep-fried crispy boneless chicken thigh, peas sprout salad, garlic fried rice and oriental bbq sauce.
Though the version back here is a lil different from what I was expecting, the combination of the fragrant garlic rice and the chicken was delicious. The sauce had a lil tad of sweetness in it.

Let's pizza :)

Diavola Pizza RM 35.00
Tomato sauce, chicken chorizo, red peppers, spanish onions and chili flakes.

The thin crust was to my liking. One bite into it and the bursting pepperish spiciness kicks in.

Rendang Pahlawan "Temasik" RM 45.00
Braised Angus beef fillet in brown coconut chili paste with wild turmeric leaf infusion served with steam rice, vegetable pickle and crackers.

The cute adorable cupcakes were specially made by the chefs. These were specially crafted for Merdeka celebration.

And it was then time to end the meal with some sweet note.

Walnut & Cheese Brownie Bar RM 22.00
Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Now this is the nothing could possibly go wrong dessert. The nice moist brownie tasted so good with the chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. It's like a match made in heaven. Can I have 10 more please :)

Cafe Tiramisu RM 22.00

Here's some of the drinks that we ordered for ourselves.

So next round if you're looking for a nice quiet cozy ambiance place, you know where to go now. The Eatery is such an ideal place to just sit back and enjoy what the kitchen has to offer. Ala carte is served from 11am-10.30pm.
