Tantalize your palates with the delicious creations of Mediterranean cuisine brought to you specially by award wining Guest Chef Polidori, throughout the month of March 2018 at Sigi's Bar & Grill on the beach, Golden Sands Resort Penang.
Chef Fabio is currently the Executive Chef of Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao in Shandong, China. His culinary journey begin while he was a young child helping his mother shape meat and Parmesan Tortellini, Tagliatelle, Ravioli and other typical home-cooked dishes synonymous with Italian cooking. With 23 years of experience in the culinary industry, Chef Fabio has enjoyed many years successful career in five-star luxury properties in Europe, the Middle East as well as in Asia Pacific.
His never-ending creativity and skills has garnered him numerous awards and accolades, among it is "Chef of The Year Award 2015" in Shanghai from Grand Hotel Media Magazine and the TV programme, You are The Chef.
Now isn't that something.
For that particular night, I had the opportunity to be at Golden Sands Resort to meet Chef Fabio and enjoy the beautiful highlights prepared which is now available for you to enjoy at Sigi's Bar & Grill. It was an exclusive cooking demonstration on his signature pizza Calzone.
He gave a live demo from rolling of the dough until sealing it.
Then it was my turn to try making it :) Make way, "Chef Barry" is in da house haha
Now it's time to explore the highlights you can enjoy away.
Starting off with starters.
Beef Keftedes
Made with mixed cherry tomato, coriander and served with Tzatziki yogurt dip.
Gambas Bravas
The dish consist of prawns, red chili, sweet potato, aioli, paprika
Time for some heart-warming soup.
Pondicherry soup
Made consisting of assorted seafood.
Under the Pasta & Risotto, there can try these highlights.
Potato Gnocchi
Made with spinach, sun dried tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil pesto.
Risotto
Made with scallop, green asparagus, saffron risotto, lemon and cocoa powder.
If you're looking for something heavier, the main course items would be an ideal choice.
Harissa Salmon Steak
Served with charred spring onion, beetroot and squid ink
Affumicato Pizza
Topped with smoked salmon, artichokes, ricotta cheese and chili flakes
Moroccan Lamb Tagine
Served with traditional couscous. Meant to be shared for two.
Time for my favourite, desserts.
First up was the Classic Tiramisu.
Served with hot chocolate and cappucino foam.
This was heaven.
Panna Cotta Mont Blanc
Served with raspberry jelly, chestnut puree, dried strawberry
With all these wonderful creations made available for a limited time only, you have got to make you way to Golden Sands Resort before the end of March 2018.
