Tok Wan 101 Recipes Ramadan Buffet at Vistana Hotels Penang

Blink of an eye and the Holy month of Ramadan is here again. Wow time sure flies. For this time around, Vistana Hotels Penang is delighted to bring you their annual  'Tok Wan 101 Recipes'. With lots of traditional cuisines that would just pamper the palate. Ideal for berbuka puasa or even for dinner with friends and family.

So here's a glimpse of what you can expect when you dine there from now until 13 June 2018.

One thing that would catch you attention would be the wide range of Malay kuihs made available for you to enjoy.

Starting off with some starters. Like the acar, kerabu and a variety of ulam-ulaman to be enjoyed with a few dipping and sauces.

Nasi Kerabu

Freshly made Murtabak. Best enjoyed with the Dhall and picked onion. 

Not forgetting one of the must have item, Bubur Lambuk.

One glance at the Kambing Panggang and it is already so tempting. Nicely marinated and tender, that's most important.

Just beside it is where the Chefs are busy grilling the satay. Chicken and beef satay with nice rich peanuty sauce. Yummeh!

Now off to some of the main dishes the Chefs has prepared.

A wide vareity of dishes that has different style of cooking. Even curry in general, different type offers different taste and flavour. A little of this and that, it would already be a plate full of indulge.

Kailan Goreng Belacan

Sambal Tempe Ikan Bilis

Tauhu dengan Sos Telur

Siew Pak Choy dengan Kulit Tauhu dan Sos Cendawan Enoki

Patin Tempoyak

There's also some crackers for you have with your rice or own its own.

Yong Tau Fu 

Pick the laksa noodles, top it with your favourite condiments and pour the hot piping laksa soup over. Voila. A nice bowl of laksa is ready.

Looking at the stall is already so welcoming.


It's just great to spot 5 different types of warm dessert. There was Bubur Pulut Hitam, Pengat Pisang, Bubur Kacang Hijau, Bubur  Gandum and Bubur Cha Cha.

Some colorful and attractive looking jelly and pudding.

The amount of Malay Kuih served on the buffet line is quite variety. So many that you wish you could put everything into your tummy haha.. Even I can't fit all in :p
