Grill From The Sea Buffet Dinner at Taste Cafe, G Hotel Gurney.

Get ready to be on a gastronomic adventure enjoying the best of both worlds from the sea and land as G Hotel Gurney introduces their latest promo, Grill From The Sea buffet dinner at Taste Cafe on every Friday and Saturday. Diners can look forward to pampering themselves to a myriad of fresh seafood, meat and many other delectable choices. 

Grill From The Sea is available on every Friday and Saturday. Priced at RM125 nett for adults while children aged 6 to 12 years old and seniors above 60 years old can enjoy for only RM80 nett per pax.

Led by G Hotel's Executive Chef, Chef Mohd Fairdaous bin Mohd Izhar has more than 20 years of experience and has wowed the taste buds of many famous people with his cooking including the ever popular Zinedine Zidane and royalties too.

The lavish spread certainly offers a wide variety of delicious mouthwatering items from starters right up to desserts. And the million dollar question pops up, where to begin with?

Let's start drooling :)

Starting off with items at the salad bar. A selection of fresh greens, condiments and dressing of your choice. Dig into the premix salads like Scallops with Arugula and Berries,Prawn Hawaiian Salad, Spanich Ceviche and Smoked Salmon with Quinoa and Avocado.

Seafood lovers are in for a real treat as you get to enjoy all the fresh and succulent seafood items in various section of the buffet line. Make a stop over at the seafood on ice section where you'll spot prawns, mussels, crab, oysters as well as scallops.


It's always a great sight to spot my favourite cheese, Brie Cheese. 

Scoop up some hearty warm soup like the flavourful Seafood Cioppino, an Italian-American soup made with a mix of fresh seafood like squids and mussels in a tomata based stew or the Crab Meat Seafood Soup, packed with generous crab meat. 

Savour the tangy salty Japanese delicacy, Miso Soup with Condiments.

Off to the main hot dishes, a mix of meat, seafood and vegetables cooked in various ways that is packed bursting with beautiful flavours.

Dig into mains dishes like Seafood Pilaf, Seafood Baked Pasta, Chicken Breast with Capers and Olive, Beef Estoufad Knodel, Steamed Garoupa with Superior Sauce,Emincee of Lamb Puttanesca, Pan Seared Butter Fish with Crab Bisque, Oven Roasted Duck Bigarade, Mashed Potato with Seafood Ragout and Stir-fried Mussels with Ginger.

Every bite into the flesh is welcomed a freshness flavour and the ever delicious superior sauce that gives that nice aromatic touch.

Emince of Lamb Puttanesca 
A modern take on the traditional Italian dish, where think slices of lamb is boiled with the tomato based Puttanesca sauce.

Back at the carving station, you can look forward to enjoying premium meats and apart from the Roasted Whole Lamb, the Roasted Beef Ribs was just heavenly. The meats were marinated with aromatic herbs and the slow roasting process surely gives that nice tender with on every bite.

Love salmon? The whole salmon marinated with herbs, citrus and drizzled with olive oil was just so fasntastic. The aromatic crispy skin and flaky flesh, oh so good!

The noodle station offers a few types of noodle options like the Vietnamese Noodle Soup,  Fried Noodles and Japanese Chicken Noodle Soup. Just pick your favourite ingredients pass to the friendly chef, inform them of your choice of noodle and soup type.

On the outside, the Lava Stone BBQ Grill Station is always the star attraction. What makes it unique compared to other BBQ around is that the grilling is done over lava stone. The lava stone is brought in exclusively all the way from Indonesia and the beautiful part is that the lava stone is able to further enhance the quality of food by holding the natural flavour, moisture and nutrients. 

Head over and grab some fresh seafood and juicy meats such as slipper lobsters, Spanish mackerel, salmon fillets, minutes steaks, lamb shoulders, and our all time favourite chicken and beef satay. Grilled to perfection and best enjoyed accompanied with the various sauces like peanut sauce, sambal belacan, BBQ sauce among others.

The enjoyment doesn't stop there, just beside is where you will spot the Mongolian Station. The stir-fry concept where items like meat, seafood and vegetables are cooked on a large flat iron griddle. Sizzling with flavours and aroma.

I've always loved puff pastries and the Mushroom Chicken Puff and Chicken Pie. The small bites of flaky buttery  taste filled with fillings was just so addictive.

Now to my most favourite part of all - desserts! The desserts at Taste Cafe has never failed to impress - a magnet to the eyes and tummy. The magical display of the mouthwatering desserts was just so fascinating. It's the first thing that catches the attention as your enter. 

The various types of desserts that is available certainly is a delight. You just wished you had a bigger tummy to fill everything in.
