Calling all coffee and desserts lovers out there in Penang.

Located under the same roof as Soul Cafe, The Craftisan is a spot in Penang you should make a trip over to enjoy coffee, tea, non-coffee beverages, gelato and other sweet treats. A walk up the stairs and you'll be welcomed by a simple cozy contemporary cafe interior that serves delightful creations that pampers the palate.

The desserts were a love magnet to the eyes on first sight. Each dessert is like artistically designed, looking gorgeous and you can't wait to dig in but then the thought of destroying such beautiful treats. Awwwwww.. But one thing for sure is, it is as good as it looks.

The homemade gelato by The Craftisan is deliciously good. With some pretty cool flavours like Avocado, Tie Kuan Yin, Rum & Raisin among others.

They even have hand-packed gelato. Which means you can also "tapow" it home to enjoy. Yay!!! Imagine relaxing on your sofa, watching your favourite series while enjoying their gelato. Perfect!

Mango Pomelo - RM 23.00

Gelato chosen : avocado

All it took was just one scoop and it was an instant addiction. I just loved the fragrant aroma from the blend of the mango puree and with each bite bursting with pomelo juice from the pulp. Topped with blue berry, chunks of mango, strawberries and kiwi. Truly a satisfying luscious refreshing treat.

Delicias De Serradura - RM 25.00

Originated from Portugal, this Portuguese sawdust pudding is made from crumbs and cream. Served with a scoop of gelato and fruits.

Chocolate Obsession - RM 20.00

It leaves you obsessed :) How can you resist this beautiful temptation?

The Chocolate Brownie is truly unlike the norms of the usual airy brownies. Theirs is a delectable and compact chocolatey goodness. Giving you that pleasingly rich chocolate taste.

It's been a while since I last had Rum & Raisin, and oh goodness! It was heaven. Imagine having a scoop of the luxury taste with raisins that were soaked in rum. Get ready to be blown away by this delightful treat.

Matcha-licious Crepe - RM 18.00

The ultimate matcha experience on a plate. Overall, the dessert was mild sweet. The crepe was thin and the green tea gelato was lovely with a strong punch of matcha taste. Served with matcha jelly and matcha gelato.
