It's October! Get ready for this 27 October 2019 as Tree Bar at G Hotel Gurney is all set to celebrate the much awaited Oktoberfest celebration with beers, irresistible delicious food, music, exciting games and all the great fun awaits. Tree Bar is no stranger to the scene as it's tipped as the largest alfresco bar in Penang and a favourite spot among many to sit back unwind over drinks and bites. Standing tall in the bar is the humongous tree where Tree Bar got its name from.
Be prepared for an amazing time as Oktoberfest at Tree Bar isn't just about drinking and savouring the good food. The fun starts from 3pm onwards and not forgetting games where you can walk away with amazing prizes too.
As for music entertainment, there will be 2 sets of live bands where they will be performing to entertain you at 2 different slots. Wan Duo, a 2-piece band is slated to tune the party up from 3pm - 6pm while a 5-piece band is set to take over at 8.30pm onwards.
For this Oktoberfest, get your tummy ready to savour the specially created food items for this celebration. The 2 items you mustn't miss is the Sea Salt Pretzels and Assorted Charcuterie Platter and the other is Roulade of Firecracker Sausage with Curry Mayo.

Sea Salt Pretzels and Assorted Charcuterie Platter
An appetizing platter perfect for sharing. Dig into an assortment of cheese, meats, and pickles.
Roulade of Firecracker Sausage and Curry Mayo
A bite into it and a nice flaky crust together with the spiced sausage offering that nice blend of aroma and taste. Give the taste a extra boost with a dip into the curry mayo.
Apart from those Oktoberfest specials, here are some of the other delicious bites available on the menu for you to enjoy.
Garlicky Prawn
Juicy succulent prawns sautéed in garlic pepperoncini and
butter. Served with garlic butter bread. One try of the prawn and you'll be wanting more of it.
Tex Mex Chicken Cheesy Fries
Cripsy french fries are tossed with tex mex
seasoning and generously topped with chicken jalapeno cheese sauce. Just love the crunch that comes with that tangy cheesy taste.
Breaded Mozzarella Sticks
Let it flow..let the mozzarella flow! Mozzarella sticks are deep fried and served together
with spicy tomato dip. It's delicious when it's hot but be careful not to burn your tongue with the hot melted cheese inside.
Cheesy Beef Meat Ball
Homemade beef meatballs stuffed with
cheese, served with a side of potato wedges and light gravy.
Mushroom Gratinee
A mix of mushrooms and onions topped with 3 types of cheese. Once it's baked, the melted cheese and the earthy mushroom taste, oh so good!
Chicken Mortadella Fries
Chicken fries served with spicy ranchero dip. As simple as this dish may look, one chicken fries dipped into the dip and get ready for your 2nd, 3rd and more.
Chicken Satay
Tender juicy skewers of chicken served along with cucumbers, onions, 'nasi impit' and fragrant peanut sauce.
Now how about a twist?
Chicken Satay Pizza
A signature dish that's just so hard to resist. Unlike the norms of tomato base, this pizza has chunky peanut sauce spread on the base. Oh la la. My kind of spread :) It is then topped with red chili, cucumber, chicken satay pieces and loaded with mozzarella cheese. I could definitely enjoy the whole pizza myself. So good!
Sautéed Sausages With Anchovies
Looking for something with a lil fiery kick? The dish is made out of sausages,
anchovies and chillies.
Buffalo Wings
Deep fried chicken wings served with fresh celery and creamy cheese dipping sauce.
Jalapeno Poppers
Don't be fooled by its look. For a moment, I thought I was going to bite into something spicy. But turns out, not a slight spiciness at all.
Fried jalapeno stuffed with cheese and served with spicy tomato salsa on the side.
Crispy Chicken Skin
Highly addictive. Be warned. The crispy chicken skin is love..hehe.. Even on its own, the chicken skin is already seasoned with flavours and the salted egg sauce further elevates the taste. Yummy!
Korean Chicken Drumettes
Fried chicken drumettes marinated with special Korean glaze and sesame. A combo experience of sweet, crispy and tender.
Be prepared to pong you way at the beer pong challenge. Throw 5 ping pong balls across to your opponent's table and hopefully it lands into the cup of beers in front of them to win attractive prizes. Good luck!
