G Hotel Penang Continues Their Yearly Christmas Giving Tradition Through Their "A Time To Give" Charity Programme.
Christmas is the season that brings much joy and despite the trying times the world is going through, even the hospitality industry is badly hit, it certainly didn't stop the blessing of giving that G Hotel Penang has been doing through their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative "A Time To Give" charity programme since 2008. The hotel, together with members of the public has been putting lots of smiles on the faces of children and has benefitted various homes as well as NGO's. For this year, 28 children from The Salvation Army Home were blessed with lots of with Christmas presents collected from the programme.
Each child had a wish card which was hung on the Christmas tree at the hotel's lobby from the 27th November until 17th December 2020 with their details such as name, age, gender and their wishes. Members of the public just had to pick a card and purchase the gifts for the children to grant their Christmas wishes. Thanks to all the kind-hearted donors, each child received 7 presents each this year.
While the Christmas present unwrapping was usually done in the hotel's lobby for the previous years, it was different this year as due to the SOP given the government, the hotel decided to bring the celebration over to the home. It was such a joyous occasion with the children happily opening their presents followed by delicious treats by the hotel.
