Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang shines brightly despite the pandemic that we are going through. 2021 was the year that Chinese New Year festival was celebrated differently, unlike the previous years. Despite the trying times everyone is going through, it's such a joy to spot the Kek Lok Si Temple being brightly lit from far away. Be amazed with the thousands of lights and lanterns that illuminates the whole temple.

Now that MCO is being in placed for Penang, Penangites from the other districts won't be make a trip over, but we hope the photos we took on our recent trip will give you some joy in viewing :)

The lights and lanterns at Kek Lok Si Temple will be turned on until 11 March 2021. The visiting hours are from 8.30am until 9.30pm.

We didn't manage to visit the Goddess of Mercy statue on the higher ground this round. Hope we will soon :)
