Mercure Penang Beach presents Ombak Dulang Ramadan Set for you and your loved ones to savour as you break fast during this holy month of Ramadan. Communal dining is traditionally served especially in villages, within its own community. For this time around, Mercure Penang Beach is glad to introduce that exciting nostalgic dining experience right at the hotel.

The set comes with a variety of goodies consisting of appetiser, soup, main, desserts and drinks.
Let's dig in.
For starters, there's the local salad - Ulam-ulaman served with Sambal Belacan.
Hearty serving of Sup Ayam
Now to indulge all these mouth-watering cuisines. Lots of flavours to savour in a platter. There's the Kambing Varuval, Ayam Masak Jintan, Gulai Ikan dengan Bendi, Sambal Udang Petai and Stir-fried Vegetables.
The Sambal Udang Petai came with a nice fiery kick of spiciness. Prawns were fresh.
The Ayam Masak Jintan was a palate pleaser. Tender pieces of chicken coated in a fragrant mix of ingredients.
Once taste of the Kambing Varuval and you'd be wanting more of it. The beautiful burst of flavours from the spices used, makes the dish a dining pleasure.
Last but not least, the fragrant Nasi Biryani to go with all those delightful dishes. Yums!
Tender skewers of Chicken / Beef Satay with rich thick Peanut Sauce.
For desserts, you will be enjoying sweet treats like dates, Bubur Pulut Hitam and an assortment of cakes. The Bubur Pulut Hitam was really nice and wasn't too sweet.
