OREO Celebrates its 110th Birthday With a Limited-Edition Flavour and a Playful AR Filter Debuting Across Malaysia

The world’s favourite cookie, OREO, is turning 110 years old in 2022, and the fan-favourite cookie brand is kicking off the party with a limited-edition flavour, OREO Birthday Sprinkles. With lashings of vanilla and crème filled with sprinkles, it will be available across Malaysia only from June to July 2022. To get the party started, OREO is launching a playful Augmented Reality (AR) Instagram filter that invites people to blow out 110 candles.

This year on our 110th birthday, we are debuting a new festive flavour as well as a unique AR experience inspired by the universal act of blowing out candles. The celebrations continue with a heartwarming TV commercial, which will be launched across the nation. The TVC shows a father blowing out virtual candles in the AR Filter, inviting people to celebrate together, as well as showing the limited edition OREO Birthday Cake flavor of cream filled with yummy colorful sprinkles.

The limited-edition OREO Birthday Cookie is the first OREO flavour to feature rainbow sprinkles and a birthday cake flavored cream sandwiched between two delicious cocoa cookies. The cookie will be sold nationwide from June 2022 until July 2022. Grab your pack today at all major hypermarkets and supermarkets. You may also get them at Shopee or Lazada!
