As far as Swedish traditions go, Midsummer is widely celebrated in Sweden amongst family and friends over delightful fan-fare. Enjoy the taste of Sweden and bring your loved ones and spend some quality time with them to try out our latest food selection.  

 

The limited-time only menu offers a superb selection of seafood inspired by classic Swedish flavours with a touch of local flavours, offering a Malaysian twist to the dishes.

 

Aside from the new mid-summer menu, look out for a one-day-only special Midsummer Buffet Dinner, featuring our classic meatballs and chicken wings, as well as our new Salmon Lasagne dish on 24 June 2022, from 6.00pm - 8.30pm. Taking place across all IKEA stores, the prices are as follow:

Traditional Swedish fare includes a wide range of salmon dishes – from cold cuts such as smoked salmon to delightful grilled salmon dishes. If you’re not a fan of salmon, the mid-summer menu serves up other hearty options to whet your appetite, from starters, to mains, complete with summer-themed desserts.

 

There are many fish in the sea, but this June, be sure to look out for the cutest Instagram-worthy Shark-shaped bun with a red bun filling!

Salmon has many health benefits, including being rich in Omega-3 and is a great source of protein. Did you know that IKEA gets their seafood, including salmon from The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) which is a non-profit organisation that creates protocols for farmed seafood, ensuring that it meets sustainable standards.
