15 Years Long Service Award Recipients 


 In conjunction with the joyous Festival of Lights, G Hotel celebrated 
a special townhall entitled “Associate Appreciation Gathering”. An extravagant day of event with 
birthday celebrations, lucky draws, and staff performances. In addition, the hotel also collaborated 
with INTI College Penang to make the event more happening. The students were invited as part 
of their college assignment to assist in taking photos and videos throughout the event.

The town hall had an overwhelming turn out of staffs including Directors and Management’s 
Team. The event started off with Mr Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel addressed 
his employees with a compelling speech highlighting how much pride he feels to be part of the 
hotel and sharing an insight of the upcoming G Hotel Gurney. 

The “5,10 and 15 Years’ Service Recognition Awards” were held for the pioneer employees during 
the Associate Appreciation Gathering at Forum IV. Approximately 80 pioneer employees were 
given a formal acknowledgement recently for work performance, contribution and for serving G 
Hotel’s business success, goals and values since its opening in 2007. The award ceremony was 
hosted as an attribution to the employees’ contribution & achievements in G Hotel and was 
recognized for greater employee satisfaction and enjoyment of work. G Hotel aims that the 
recognition awards may motivate and encourage other employees to dedicate further in orders to 
earn the same recognition.


The pioneer group who has served for 5 years with G Hotel received a G Memento, certificate, 
dine in voucher and RM150 cash. Those who served for 10 years received a certificate, gold 
locket, room voucher and RM250 cash. Finally, the pioneer groups who served 15 years with G 
Hotel received a certificate, room stay voucher, gold locket and RM350 cash. The 80 staffs were 
from Director Office, Security & Safety, Front Office, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Culinary, 
Housekeeping, Engineering, Public Relations, Guest Service Centre and F&B. These 
recognitions were presented by Mr Raymond Seow, Director of Human Resources and Mr. 
Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel. 

Other highlight includes Top 20 lucky draw prizes which includes a Samsung Microwave, Morgan 
Stand Mixture, Faber Hair Dryers, Rice cooker and many more. A special Indian dance 
performance by our F&B team and lastly a celebration for our September and October associate’s
birthday.


The event ended with a delectable spread of Deepavali treats specially prepared for the occupants to enjoy during lunch. The lunch menu carefully selected by G’s chefs to commemorate the festival of lights includes naan bread, mutton masala, Indian sweets, pakoda, teh Tarik and much more. 

G Hotel hopes to instil loyalty and enhance teamwork among employees with the formal acknowledgement in recognizing their values as an employee. Thus, G Hotel believes that employee recognition is a key success factor for execution of operations and business strategy.

It is the commitment and hard work of our colleagues that has helped us accomplish the many wonderful goals we have set out to achieve,” says Mr. Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel.
