There's a brand new hotel in Penang! Introducing The George, George Town, Penang.

 Located along Penang Road, The George, George Town, Penang stands majestic from afar. The hotel site has been many things prior; it used to be an Australia Hotel, then a Teik Bin Chinese Dispensary, and later, it was the Osakaya Japanese Sundry Shop.
















The George, George Town, Penang had its soft opening on 12 December 2022 and we were privileged to be among the invited guests for that joyous celebration. Present at the soft launch were Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), YB Yeoh Soon Hin, Chief Minister of Penang, Chow Kon Yeow, and organisations such as the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) and the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) will be joining us in the ribbon-cutting ceremony

The George, George Town, Penang luxury contemporary classic boutique hotel that provides 
excellent services and offers a memorable staycation and luxurious home-away-from-home 
experience. The building houses 92 rooms and suites with 10 different room categories, guests will get to enjoy specially curated hotel touchpoints, through which connects them to unique George Town 
experiences.











Customised in-room refreshments, including locally inspired cookies and curated local specialty delicacies. The steam bath, gym, and saltwater swimming pool with exquisite landscaping are added benefits for guests. Located in the lobby of the hotel is a Colonial-inspired all-day dining restaurant, "Saffron Dining", and its fusion menu, where food is served in a multi-cultural style that will tempt every palate. Across from there is the "George Bar" which offers a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a splendid array of cocktails, and a comprehensive wine list, allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy the charming ambiance where every moment is thoughtfully crafted.
