Hop On The Free IKEA Shuttle Bus From 25-26 November as New Space Range Lands in Penang

Don’t miss out on special appearance by Malaysia’s first Astronaut and other fun activities 

All systems are go for the landing of the new IKEA space range in Penang! After orbiting IKEA stores nationwide, the AFTONSPARV collection is touching down at IKEA Batu Kawan this 25 November for its launch finale, bringing with it space-tastic activities all weekend long.   

In conjunction with the new space collection, IKEA is preparing a special “space shuttle” for Penangites to travel to the store. For those looking for a ride or simply up for an adventure, catch free shuttle bus rides to IKEA Batu Kawan, available this 25 to 26 November. 

The bus departs from Hin Bus Depot to IKEA Batu Kawan at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and from IKEA Batu Kawan to Hin Bus Depot at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Seating for each trip is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

At 3.45PM on 25 November, don’t miss out on the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Malaysia’s first Astronaut, Dato’ Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, as he shares his experience in space exploration with IKEA customers and space enthusiasts alike. This is the last stop of his nationwide tour with IKEA which kicked off at IKEA Damansara earlier this month and aims to inspire next generation space explorers. Throughout the weekend, there will also be a variety of exciting activities lined up for everyone to enjoy: Conquer interactive VR games Unleash your creativity at the colouring contest Visit the face painting station Capture the moment at the space-themed photobooth Take pictures with space range mascot crew Don't miss out on the amazing 11.11 offers in-store, available until 27 November 2023. These include exclusive discounts on the well-loved BILLY bookcase, selected dining tables, glassware, serveware, bunk and loft beds, curtains, armchairs, and more! The first 100 visitors onboard the shuttle bus will receive a complimentary Alien Butter Cookie. This treat from outer space is currently available at the Swedish Café for RM4.90, for a limited time only.
