Dazzling Deepavali 2023 at Queensbay Mall, Penang

Deepavali or Festival of Lights is a Hindu festival celebrated every year in the month of October or November. 'Deepa' means lights while Avali means row of lights. This festival signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and ignorance over awareness. lt is simply a way to celebrate life with much joy, enthusiasm and happiness.

Dazzling Deepavali launching 2023 at Queensbay Mall, Penang

Queensbay Mall will embrace the festivity with a Dazzling touch to it. Key motif for this Deepavali is a pair of swans. Swan is known as Hamsa in Hinduism. It is considered the 'vahana' or vehicle to God Brahma (the creator). His wife Goddess Saraswathy (Goddess that is worshipped for education) who is also known as Hamsavahini - she whom has swan as her vehicle too. Swan basically symbolizes purity, beauty, grace, love, elegance, and divinity. Centre stage is created with lotus In mind, equally significant in Hinduism as a divine flower, offered in prayers. Lotus is an important symbol in Hindu tantric tradition.

In line with the use of Swan indicating elegance, the mall is set to 'Bedazzle' their shoppers with dazzling Jewellery and Designer Wear Collection. Models will strut the centre stage beautifully in glittering Gold & Diamond sets from SK Jewellery. They will be adorning costume - Select by Randy Goh. Excellent choices for exclusive events.

Nthiran Krishnan, a local boy from our neighbourhood, making it big in Malaysia's fashion industry, with his creative work in turning Indian traditional costume into an evening wear made for all. Those intricate work in each piece brings out the authenticity of the design in a truly grandeur manner. Joining the show by NK Couture are celebrity model Ms. Anugrekha Solaraja (Miss Global World International 2023). A must mention here: the beautiful models are dolled up by Clover Makeup and Beauty Academy and HI Signature Salon & Academy.

Other key partners for Deepavali campaign - their tenants: AEON, Popular, Dandy Modern Food, and Himalaya Adding CSR element to the campaign, they are having Cheshire Home with them. They have handcrafted products such as multi-purpose pouch, floor mats, decorative dolls, pencil case and others selling at the Centre Atrium on 28 & 29 October 2023. All the items sold are made by the residents of Cheshire Home. They have also purchased their merchandise as a form of support while creating awareness among their guests.

Aside from main event, redemptions and Q-Kids Club activity, there will also be various dance performances to hype up the festive mood at the mall. This time, they are bringing in various dance forms from different states in India-Bharatanatyam (Tamil Nadu), Oddisi (Orissa) and Dandiara Stick Dance (Gujarat) and Carnatic Vocal performance (originated from Andhra Pradesh).
