Oh yes! Ramadhan is here and it's always a joy when looking at all the sumptuous Malay cuisine feast that the talented chefs has prepared for this Holy month of Ramadhan. Everything looked so tempting and with the wide spread of food made available on the buffet line, you would probably have a tough time thinking where to start first.
So let have a peek at what awaits you when you dine at Sarkies during the whole month of Ramadhan.
Let the drooling begin :)
Start off with a nice mix of ulam.
E&O hotel communications and public relations manager Ms Eileen Chong said the perennial Malay salad, ulam, to be complemented with different types of sambal and sauces, is the perfect starter to a sumptous meal for breaking fast. " Our Ramadan buffet with its array of kampung dishes would be perfect for hotel guests, especially foreigners, to sample a taste of Malaysia's rich culture. Not only will they learn about the dishes but the significance of buka puasa. After all, the best way to learn a culture is to explore its culinary expressions," she added.
You will also find a few types of local premix salad which is known as, kerabu.
Say cheese :) When I more than happy when I spot either a Camembert or Brie.
Just beside it is where you get to enjoy some Japanese fare like sushi and sashimi too.
Seafood lovers would so be happy to spot the various seafood served at the seafood on ice corner. Enjoy items like poached prawns, green and black mussels, spanner crab and mud crab. It taste good when it's fresh.
It's hard to say no to the nicely prepared Shawarma.
Bite into the crunchiness of assorted deep fried items like money bag, spring roll, fish cracker and many more.
E&O Roasted Duck with special duck sauce. The tenderness and fragrant aroma of the roasted duck is always so welcoming.
Off to the main dishes which continues to please the palate. The whole row of chaffing dish contains cuisine that has different style of cooking and each has it's own unique taste to it. From seafood items to chicken to beef. Everything looks so tempting.
Briyani Rice
Cooked to perfection. A little bit of this and that, eaten together with the Briyani rice and goodness in every bite.
Love pasta? Then do not miss out ordering a serving or 2 at the pasta station. My favourite has got to be the carbonara.
While at the action stall corner, enjoy nicely grilled satay with peanuty sauce, roast lamb, grilled fish and many more.
Over at the other corner, some hearty warm items awaits you. Warm porridge, noodle soup, laksa, and many more.
There nothing like ending the meal with all these mouth-watering sweet treats. From cakes to pastries, with different presentation. Everything created is just wonderfully yummeh...
Spot the chocolate fountain. That where even adults turn into kids once again haha..
