Enjoy The Flavours of Kampung Buffet at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La

Savour the wonderful flavours and aroma of traditional Malay cuisines at Garden Café, Golden Sands Resort during their latest buffet theme – Kampung Buffet. Packed with a plethora of delightful fare, the scrumptious buffet features dishes that are curated from family recipes together with culinary skills that are passed on from generation to generation.

Held on every Friday, the buffet consist of 10 stations and delivers appetising starters right until mouth-watering desserts. Start off with items like local ulam, fruit acar, fresh salads, various types of local salad – kerabu, pasembur and rojak. 

As for soup, warm up your stomach to crab soup with celery which offers a hearty aroma and taste on every scoop. 

Heading to the mains, a fiesta of favourites awaits such as ayam rendang minang, stir-fried beef with celery, asam pedas ikan pari dan bendi, udang masak lemak cili padi dan nenas, nasi kukus daun pandan, and mi goreng basah bersama makanan laut. All the names that makes one drool.

By the Garden Terrace, that’s where you will find the grilled items such as kambing bakar ‘cajun’, chicken and beef satay, various types of grilled fishes and ayam pasu – chicken cooked in porcelain vases.

Don’t miss out on trying the Mee Rebus Muar. The gravy sure is good!

Lastly, to end the meal with all the colourful and decadent sweet treats for that authentic traditional Malaysian feast satisfaction. Sink your teeth into goodies like kuih sago merah, bingka pandan, talam jagung, agar-agar sirap bandung dan cendol, puding gula hangus, bubur pulut hitam and more.
